Dental PractitionersDr Allen Gaon BDS (Lond 1988) MSc Endo (U Warwick 2012) Principal Dentist
Allen is married to Bernice and has 3 children, Joshua, Rachel and Jonathan. Allen qualified at Guys Hospital in 1988 and has spent most of his professional life in Amersham.
He has recently completed a 3 year Masters Degree in Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) from the University of Warwick and is very excited about developing this side of his practice. He is continuing with his education by now studying for his PhD. He is also a Regional Tutor for Postgraduate Endodontics Masters students at Warwick.
In his spare time he enjoys both watching and playing cricket, going to the theatre and music. Dr Anne Dow BDS (Dundee 1997) Associate Dentist
Anne graduated from Dundee in 1997. Prior to joining the team at Amersham Dental Care, Anne gained 15 years experience in cosmetic and private family dentistry in the Edinburgh area.
Anne likes to put her patients at ease and feels that dentistry should not be an anxious experience.
Anne enjoys spending family time with her husband and two young children and when time allows exploring the Chilterns with her chocolate Labrador “Kiwi”. Dr Manish Patel BDS (ULond 1999), MFDSRCS (Eng), MClinDent (Prosthodontics), MRDRCS (Eng) Specialist in Prosthodontics
Manish Patel graduated from King’s College Dental Institute in 1999. In 2008 he received a Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics with distinction and the UCL Dental School Commemorative Prize in Prosthodontics for clinical and academic excellence. He completed the Membership in Restorative Dentistry examination by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009 and was entered into the Prosthodontics Specialist List.
Manish has continued to work at the Eastman Dental Institute as a part-time Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Prosthodontics Unit. Working alongside experienced clinical, academic and laboratory staff, he is involved in teaching post-graduate dentists on the various restorative dentistry training programmes. Dr Heulwen Williams BDS (Cardiff 2000) Associate Dentist
Heulwen graduated from University Hospital of Wales Cardiff in 2000. She has gained valuable experience working as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport and also working abroad in Australia.
Heulwen has an interest in restorative dentistry, orthodontics and minor oral surgery and is keen to keep abreast of the changing world of dentistry through continuing professional development.
In her spare time, Heulwen enjoys DIY projects, keeping fit and watching rugby but not necessarily in that order. Puneet Patel BDS Hons (ULond 2007) MClinDent (Lond) MFDS (Edinburgh) MPerio (Edinburgh) Associate Dentist
Puneet Patel has successfully completed a three year specialty training programme in Periodontology & Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and subsequently passed the Membership in Periodontics exam at the Royal College Surgeons of Edinburgh, facilitating his entry onto the GDC specialist register.
Puneet graduated with honours from Guy’s King’s & St Thomas’ Hospital in 2007. Since then he has completed Senior House Officer training posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery; Paediatric Dentistry & Restorative Dentistry.
During this time he has been awarded the New Graduate Prize by the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry. He has attended conferences worldwide and is a member of the British Dental Association, British Society of Periodontology, and the International Team for Implantology.
Puneet’s particular interests lie in regenerative techniques to reconstitute periodontal tissue loss and restoration of missing teeth with implants. He has experience of teaching dental students, fellow professionals and dental care professionals and is approachable and keen to offer any advice required.

Justine Qualified as a dental hygienist in 1994 at the Eastman Dental Hospital winning “Patient management of the year” award.
Justine recently embarked in a satisfying career in domiciliary care for the elderly and gained a scholarship place to Kings Dental Hospital for a diploma in periodontology, however, decided to a accept a place at Bristol Dental Hospital for a two year Dental Therapy course in restorative dentistry. She also recently acquired a qualification NNEB certificate in Radiology.
Justine believes in a holistic approach providing preventative and active care bespoke to each patient’s needs and capabilities.
Justine enjoys her work and hopes to continue practicing restorative and preventative dentistry within the community.

Pia has worked in the field of dentistry for 23 years. After spending 13 years working as a dental nurse in Oxford and she then became a self employed locum dental nurse in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire before then going on to complete a BTEC in dental practice management.
Pia has been the Practice Manager at Amersham Dental Care since the practice opened 8 years ago and is very proud to have maintained the British Dental Association’s Good Practice Scheme Award for the 7th year running.
Pia is married to Ian and is mad about her pets, which include her 4 designer cats, chickens, wildfowl and doves. Bernice Gaon E.D.H Practice Administrator
Bernice is married to Allen and is mum to Joshua, Rachel and Jonathan. She has now retired from her position as Hygienist but is still involved in the running of the Practice enhanced by her many years in the profession.
In her spare time she enjoys Zumba, going to the theatre and is involved with helping out at her local charity.
